It's also the best spot to observe up close the most species of Antpittas with a total of 5: Giant Antpitta, Yellow Breasted Antpitta, Moustached Antpitta, Chestnut Crowned Antpitta, and Ochre Breasted Antpitta. Ángel, a local community member, has developed a very special connection with these Antpittas,like nowhere else. This is the only place where they are whistled out of the wild vegetation to be hand fed and even called by their name, keep in mind this is one of the most elusive birds. There's no one more knowledgeable to talk about antpittas than Angel, having a conversation with him about birds is something you will cherish for a long time. This is also the best spot to enjoy the Dark Backed Wood Quail just a  couple of yards away.
