When we first bought our land in mid 2020 at the height of the pandemic, the area in front of where the lodge is located now had been completely deforested. Some other areas of the property had been partially destroyed. We have been working very hard to heal this land with love and native trees, which were carefully chosen to provide food to the wildlife in the area. We have planted trees in different stages. The first stage involved planting around 1000 fruit trees in order to feed the native birds and provide them
with nesting sites and we have continued our program with really successful results. We have planted 2500 trees so far and the results are extremely visible and evident, to the benefit of many wildlife species including birds, mammals and many others. It is our pleasure to be able to share our paradise with our visitors. Thank you for supporting our conservation program and for being part of our team.

Now this reforested area is part of our  protected choco biosphere rainforest which along with our conservation partners is an area of  150 hectares of pristine cloudforest which has registered 500 + bird species which is more than many whole countries in the world, that is why it is so important our conservation work and that is our inspiration.
